Serving God In Singlehood and Marriage

Marriage is the norm taking a leaf from how God created Eve for Adam in the Garden of Eden for it is not good for man to be alone. In marriage, you can reproduce and have a family of your own.

On the other hand, some may contend that it is better not to marry like the apostle Paul and Jesus Himself so that you can devote yourself wholly to serving God.

To marry or not to marry? To stay married or is separation an option? These are hard questions indeed.

In addressing the above and other related questions on marriage and singlehood, the following sermon by Dr Sharon Fong of Covenant Evangelical Free Church is both insightful and helpful.

The Scripture passage for the sermon is taken from Matthew 19:1-12.

Doing The Greater Works

"Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will  do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." John14:11-13 (NKJV)

Believers extolling the name of Jesus at City Harvest Church

What did Jesus meant when He said to His disciples at the Last Supper that a believer would do greater works than what they have seen Him do?

The following sermon by Pastor Ayan Murri of Shalom Baptist Chapel will provide you with deeper insights on what Jesus meant concerning the greater works.

In his sermon, Pastor Ayan shared on the following:

1. The Condition for Greater.

2. The Meaning of Greater.

3. The Catalyst for Greater.
